Fashion Portfolio using Photoshop (Advanced) - 3 Days

Monday 6th – Wednesday 8th December 2010

The course runs 10am – 4pm over three days with an hour lunch break (six 2.5 hour sessions). Lunch is available from our stylish on-site Café@FTM or from nearby cafés and pubs.

This course is for fashion, textiles and jewellery designers who have a good working knowledge of Photoshop, and wish to focus on developing their own designs to create a professional fashion portfolio. The course will enable designers to work independently on their own individual fashion signature, and learn techniques to create presentational materials for clients, buyers and manufacturers. It is recommended that you have completed the Photoshop Intermediate course before attending this course.

The course is run at the FTM in a brand-new purpose built learning centre equipped with the latest software and facilities, and tuition is in small groups with a focus on your particular learning requirements.

The course includes the following main topics:

  • Techniques to develop your individual look book, business card, promo flyer
  • Create your own logo design
  • Ways to presenting your visualizations and ideas

At the end of the course:

  • You will receive an FTM certificate of successful completion for your CV
  • You could develop your skills further by taking a course in Repeat Pattern using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator or other courses for designers run at FTM
