Abstract applique workshop led by Katherine May - 26 May 2012
Design and make a furnishing fabric for your home inspired by the textile designers Lucienne Day, Jacqueline Groag & Marian Mahler. A one day workshop, will take you through the design process, starting by making sketches from the exhibition. Then transform your drawings into simple and quick applique techniques layering bold geometrics with hand embroidered lines. Finish the day by sewing your fabric into a cushion cover(s) or keep it as a length to be made into a wall hanging. more

Jubilee Rosettes workshop lead by Emma Hasell - 2 June 2012
Textile artist and seamstress extraordinaire Emma Hasell will lead participants through the art of creating unique rosettes for the Queens Jubilee. From an early age I loved playing with fabric and clothes and when I could get my hands on my mothers sewing machine there was no stopping me. I later went on to study a degree in fashion and have worked in the textile industry for the past 6 years. I also have a big passion for vintage clothing and accessories. I look forward to sharing my skills and knowledge with you on. more
