Vintage at Goodwood
Vintage at Goodwood is the first of what will be an annual music and fashion led celebration of creative British cool from the 40s to the 80s. It will feature the leading DJs, bands, collectors, purveyors of vintage clothing and vintage vinyl from each decade, as well as contemporary bands and brands.
It is the brainchild of designer Wayne Hemingway and the FTM will be playing a part with talks, workshops and activities throughout the three
days.

Introduction to Handbag Design - 5 day course - 16 August 2010
Show us a woman who doesn’t like handbags and we will, er... eat our handbag!
This one week course provides the opportunity to learn about the design process from sketching out your ideas, to choosing materials, creating your own design and producing a range of bags. This will include illustrating your own ideas.
This is an excellent opportunity to use your ideas and skills under the tutoring of Ann Saunders, who has extensive experience in the fashion industry. As design co-ordinator for Laura Ashley she specialised in accessories and was also responsible for styling, arranging shoots, staging fashion shows and the mail order catalogue. Anne is also a visiting lecturer at the London College of Fashion and runs her own accessories company. more

Drawing inspiration from Horrockses Fashions this workshop will provide an introduction to developing fashion prints and surface decoration. Participants will develop their own patterns to apply to 50s fashion plates, using a variety of media and techniques. more
Designing Shoes - 5 day course - 23 August 2010
This introductory course takes you through the fascinating history of footwear from the bejewelled pumps of Elizabeth I to the bejewelled pumps of Jimmy Choo.
We will look at how shoes are made and learn how to design and illustrate our own ideas. The course ends with a practical design exercise following the stages taken by professional designers to produce a range of shoes. This will include illustrations and 3D mock-ups. Lead by Chris Hill who has been designing shoes for over twenty years, some of her students are now household names – Jimmy Choo, Emma Hope and Patrick Cox more
