The perfect introductory class for the budding milliner. Join the expert team from Atelier Millinery as they take you through the inspiring process of making a festival headband step by step from start to finish. This floral design takes its inspiration from the freewheeling bohemianism of Anna Sui’s Rich Hippie Archetype. Learn to make beautiful handmade flowers in cotton organdy and tulle. Leave this workshop ready for Summer festivals, concerts parties and picnics in your new headwear and with the essential skills and inspiration to start making your own creations.

You will learn:

  • How to work with cotton organdy and tulle for millinery
  • How to make a flower
  • To develop your design with the incorporation of ribbons, raffia, buttons and beads
  • How to attach your trimmings to a plaited elastic headband
  • Finishing techniques

This class is suitable for people basic hand sewing – no millinery experience is required. All the materials for the class are included in the fee.
