Prepare to see out the winter months in style while learning a new skill! Join the expert team from Atelier Millinery as they demonstrate and teach the skills used to create a stylish headpiece inspired by the Louise Dahl-Wolfe exhibition. Students will work with faux fur, learning to measure and cut to fit, and using millinery sewing techniques will come away with a ready-to-wear hat. The perfect workshop for the budding milliner!
Students will learn:
- How to work with faux fur
- How to line the hat
- Basic cut and sew techniques for millinery
- Finishing techniques.
This workshop is suitable for those with basic hand sewing skills although an ability to use a sewing machine would be an advantage – no millinery experience is required. All the materials for the class are included in the fee.
