Wednesday 25 July / 11.30am–3.30pm
Do you want advice about a patchwork project? Need encouragement to start making your own quilt? Watch this lively demonstration of patchwork and quilting to learn new methods, compare techniques and discuss how to get started.
Patchwork and quilting are a 21st century passion in the UK. Join the Bromley Quilters for a group demonstration of sewing techniques. Discuss the tools of the trade, including roller cutters, cutting mats, and templates as well as your favourite quilters from Amy Butler to Kaffe Fasssett. Come along with your own project to get advice, or simply pull up a chair to watch and take home the enthusiasm to start your own creation. To complement the exhibition Orla Kiely: A Life in Pattern, a selection of sample quilts and accessories by the demonstrators will be on show.
Free drop-in demonstration with exhibition ticket.
