Photo competition - win a signed copy of the Horrockses book! - 21 July 2010
Join us on Facebook to join in our fun photo competition to win a copy of the Horrockses book signed by author and exhibition curator Chris Boydell.
All you have to do is post a photo of yourself outside the Fashion and Textile Museum in an outfit you feel best represents Horrockses - it could be an actual Horrockses dress, or another outfit you think captures the Horrockses style.
We will announce the winner shortly after the close of the exhibition.

Elisabeth Hamlyn named Young Accessory Designer of the Year - 30 June 2010
Knitwear and accessories designer Elisabeth Hamlyn has been named Young Accessory Designer of the Year in the award organised by Clothes Show London in partnership with the FTM. Elisabeth's winning design was a brightly coloured, pleated and knitted scarf which took inspiration from the museum's bold and colourful building. Elisabeth will have her design stocked in Shop@FTM as well as receiving free training and a six month business support package to help her set up and develop her business. more
FTM @ Clothes Show London - coming this June! - 20 May 2010
The Clothes Show London will once again be oozing glamour this year and of course FTM will be in attendance.
From 25th - 27th June you can visit us at the show and catch a sneak preview of our next exhibition, Horrockses Fashions: Off the Peg Style in the 40s and 50s.
The pop up Shop@FTM will also be returning where you can browse and buy fantastic jewellery and accessories from our carefully picked selection of up and coming desgners.
Most excitingly of all, the winner is going to be announced of our Young Accessory Designer of the Year competition brought to you in association with Clothes Show London.

Fashion Futures 1 - schools fashion design course for Year 10 students - 27 April 2010
We are working with creative charity Fashion Awareness Direct to run a week of fashion workshops for Year 10 students from schools in and around London.
The workshops will be led by experienced professional fashion tutors. Students will learn about the whole fashion design process - from initial research to illustration, customisation and sewing a final garment - and will have the opportunity to style and present their outfits in a photoshoot and catwalk show. more
