Lectra Kaledo Style - Level 2

26 April 2008

Is the course for me?
This is a short professional course for fashion designers who wish to develop CAD/CAM skills to support their own career development in the sector.

The course has been developed by ZiP (the brand name for Newham College’s fashion and textiles courses) to meet the skills needs of the sector.

What does the course involve?
The course introduces the main functions of Kaledo Style software and shows you how to create technical drawing using Kaledo drawing tools, and how to import and apply motifs. During the course you will learn how to scan and manipulate hand-drawn imagery, and presentation formats and techniques are also covered. To make the course particularly personal and relevant to your needs, please bring your own designs, photographs or swatches to use as source material during the course. The course is delivered through demonstrations and practical exercises, with a high level of tutor support and regular review of your progress.

You will receive a course handbook and scheme of work at the start of the course, but please enquire if you need more details about the course content before application

What options are open to me if I successfully complete the course?
This  course will provide you with skills of immediate commercial relevance. To develop your skills further, you may also find it useful to take other  ZiP courses such as Advanced Lectra Kaledo Style course, Lectra Prima Print, Photoshop or Illustrator – a wide range of specialist courses are available.

Please contact our Customer Support Centre for further details of the full range of ZiP courses.

What do I need to get on the course?
