The Fashion and Textile Museum exhibition division is currently undergoing restructuring and will not be opened to the public on a daily basis.

However, from the 1st of February, there will be a small selection from our permanent collection on display entitled ‘Pretty Pleats and Pleasant Peasants’. This is on view to the public in groups of five or more, including a workshop and by appointment only.

The tour will discuss the dresses on display, highlighting technique and inspiration. The Pretty Pleat section will explore the craft of producing pleated dresses and include pieces from Sybil Connolly, Issey Miyake, Hanae Mori, Bellville Sassoon and Mary McFadden.

The Pleasant Peasant section features little scene daywear from the Zandra Rhodes archives. The tour will reveal the inspiration behind her India revisited collection and its source in the native costumes of the subcontinent.

Price: £10 adults per person
£7 concessions per person

Entrance includes a 2 hour workshop (same link to ‘inspiring young minds’ page) and personal tour of the collection. Gallery visits are only available for groups of five or more. To book please call 020 7407 8664
