Photographing Laura Ashley - Panel discussion

Thursday evening, 6-8pm

What is the role of the photographer in creating a fashion or lifestyle brand? Martin Wood, author of Laura Ashley, discusses the story of the iconic brand, and the role that Jane Ashley’s photographs played in defining ‘Laura Ashley style’. The panel – featuring Prada photographer Philip Meech and FTM curator Dennis Nothdruft – will explore how fashion houses and interior design companies choose to work with particular image-makers to communicate their brand ethos.

The event includes a complimentary drink and private view of the display ‘Looking Forward, Looking Back: Photographing Laura Ashley’.

Martin Wood will be signing copies of Laura Ashley as well as his most recent photography book Sister Parish about the influential American interior decorator.
