Presentation skills workshop: The Retail Dragons' Den

Date: 2 July 2008

Time: 6.30pm-8.30pm

Presented by Sara Gatoff and Maureen Cook from Buying Vision Ltd

Selling your products to a retail buyer can feel like entering the Dragons' Den.

Buyers are looking for you to demonstrate and communicate your design ability, your commercial awareness, an understanding of their customer, their market and their needs.

They need you to have a product range and not just one design or one idea and to present in a succinct, coherent and structured manner.

Can you do this?

Come and find out some of the tricks buyers use, the questions they may ask and the answers they want to hear.

Have a go presenting your products in front of our own "Dragons" - Sara and Maureen of Buying Vision Ltd!

Sara and Maureen have combined backgrounds of over 40 years experience working within UK retail buying offices. They are therefore well placed to answer the key questions - who is likely to buy what product, when, at what price and what quantity.

The depth and length of their experience from Harrods Ltd to Tesco Plc as Senior Buyers has taken them across the three mainstays of UK retail, the high street, the independent sector and the competitive supermarket arena.

This experience means that Buying Vision Ltd confidently and professionally offers corporate strategic advice and product placement strategies.

They know what works as a pitch, a strategy and a mission.
