As part of a new project, the Fashion and Textile Museum will help support Small and Medium Creative Enterprises, offering their knowledge and expertise to help these businesses make a success of their creative ideas. The Creative Hub project is led by Newham College’s Fashion and Textile Museum and other partners include Westminster Kingsway College, Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF) and the University of East London (UEL). The project has been awarded £1.2 million through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The exciting new venture will see the Fashion and Textile Museum provide a hub, in collaboration with CSF and UEL to deliver specialist workshops, business surgeries, networking events and mentoring. The kind of training on offer is essential for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as these organisations are not always able respond to rapid changes in the market.

Together, the project partners will provide the specialist skills and insights needed to address the gaps in knowledge of fashion designer SMEs, textile SMEs, print SMEs, and SMEs in the digital and visual media sectors.
