Orange Wiggle by Robson Stannard
Since the Fashion and Textile Museum closed its doors in March 2020, and following the success of our recent crowdfunding campaign, we have been deeply touched by the creativity and generosity of everyone who has supported our work.
Now, to continue raising vital funds for the future of the Fashion and Textile Museum, Designer, Artist and fan of the Museum, Holly Fox-Lee, has kindly organised the Fashion and Textiles Forever auction!
The auction, conceived and run by Holly and gladly supported by the Fashion and Textile Museum, will feature 70+ pieces and artworks from an array of artists and designers who have been inspired by the Museum’s work.
Artists including Zandra Rhodes, Wallace Sewell, Eley Kishimoto, Gergei Erdei, Matty Bovan, Piers Atkinson, Alice Pattullo and many more have generously contributed works.
Auction How To
Beginning Friday 23 April 2021, the Fashion and Textiles Forever auction will take place via Holly Fox-Lee’s Instagram account. Holly will post images of each of the 70+ artworks on her feed, with each post including a lot number, artist bio, medium, size, postage costs and reserve (if applicable).
To place a bid, simply write the amount you would like to bid in GBP, as a comment on the relevant Instagram post. Bids will close at 4pm (BST) on Wednesday 12 May 2021.
After bids have closed, the winning bidder for each artwork will be contacted directly by Holly via Instagram and will be put in touch with the relevant artist, to arrange delivery details and pay any shipping costs.
After this, Holly will put the winning bidder in touch with the Fashion and Textile Museum, to make a payment to the value of their winning bid. The Fashion and Textile Museum will provide the winning bidder with an order confirmation and let the relevant artist know of the winning bidder’s payment.
The artwork will then be sent to the winning bidder by the artist.
You can get a sneak peek at some of the artists who are involved in the auction now, via Holly’s Instagram account. We do hope you enjoy discovering the wonderful artworks that designers have so kindly contributed to the Fashion and Textiles Forever auction.
