Introductory Certificate in Creative Studies in Art and Design

The portfolio-based approach to assessment will also support the development of communication skills such as team working, working from a prescribed brief, working to deadlines, presenting information effectively, accurately completing tasks and processes and study skills such as research and time management. These skills will help support progression to level 2 and any future chosen course.

What is involved?
This course will provide you with practical artistic skills and knowledge to allow you to work towards a career in the creative sector. You will learn a wide range of techniques and processes relevant to art and design such as drawing, use of mixed media, as well as the development of design ideas through given project briefs.
You will be expected to attend trips to museums including our own Fashion and Textiles museum as well as other relevant institutions to learn about the world of art and design and for inspiration in relation to project work.

Progression
ABC Intermediate Certificate in Creative Studies in Art and Design
Any Level 2 Art and design course

Course Requirements
An interest in studying art and design.
At least E3 in English
