A rare opportunity has arisen at the Fashion and Textile Museum for a highly-motivated Press and Marketing Officer to be responsible for increasing engagement and audiences, enhancing the Museum’s reputation and raising our profile.
As the Press and Marketing Officer you will work as part of the small team at the Fashion and Textile Museum supporting the Commercial manager and the Head of the Museum. You will be required to contribute to the planning, implementation and marketing of exhibitions including assisting with events and workshops/seminars. You will have a proven ability to liaise with external contacts, visitors and agencies, and develop links with key partners as required. Experience of project management is an advantage and you will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to deal with telephone enquiries and have proficient IT skills. Owned and operated by Newham College, the Fashion and Textile Museum near London Bridge is well established as an innovative study centre for contemporary fashion and textiles. The Museum displays a programme of changing exhibitions and provides a wide range of courses, services, workshops and training opportunities for individuals and businesses. The quality of the exhibitions has raised the national and international profile of the Fashion and Textile Museum contributing to a year-on-year story of success.
