The first step in organising your school or college visit is to get in touch via our Group Visit Request Form. Once this is done, a team member will be in touch via email to discuss your booking request.
Advance booking is essential for all groups, who we ask to select a timed arrival slot between 11am – 4:30pm Tuesdays – Saturdays and 11am – 3:30pm on Sundays. If you would like to add a Group Tour or Workshop to your School or College Visit, you can find more information here. Please note all Group Tours and Workshops are subject to availability.
We are pleased to offer The Workroom as a lunch space for schools and colleges, subject to availability and when booked in advance. If you would like use The Workroom during your visit, please include this as part of your Group Visit Request Form.

Ages 11 and under
Per student: free
Adult supervisor (at least 1 per 10 students): £9.00
Tour (30 mins): £30.00
For primary school groups of students under 11 years of age, the Museum requires one adult supervisor to attend per 10 children visiting. We also suggest that groups book a short exhibition tour of 30 minutes to allow students to actively engage with the exhibition content.
Ages 12 and up
Groups of up to 19 students (including one free adult supervisor): £7.00 per student*
Groups of 20 or more students (including three free adult supervisors): £6.50 per student*
Tour (45 mins): from £60.00
For students aged 12 and up we suggest that groups book an exhibition tour of 45 minutes to allow students to actively engage with the exhibition content.
*Student rates apply to national and international students with a valid ID (we accept TOTUM, ISIC and Unidays), as well as school/college pupils aged between 12 – 18.
Payment for admission and for any additional Bespoke Services must be made a minimum of four weeks prior to your visit, in order to secure your booking. Payment can be made by credit or debit card over the phone or by sending a cheque payable to The Fashion and Textile Museum.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Group Visits may be cancelled up to 30 days prior to the date of your visit. Bookings are non-refundable after this time. If you wish to cancel your Group Visit, you must let us know in writing.

- Any offers and discounts, including Art Fund are not applicable to Group Visits or Bespoke Services.
- We request that school and college supervisors monitor members of their groups throughout their visit, ensuring that noise is kept to a minimum, display items are not touched, no food or drink is consumed in the gallery spaces and no power outlets are used.
- If you wish to visit the Museum prior to your visit, in order to conduct a risk assessment, please contact our team to arrange this.
