Join author and sewing expert Chinelo Bally in conversation as she celebrates the publication of her new book Sew Chinelo: How to transform your wardrobe with sustainable style.
Chinelo began sewing ten years ago when she bought her first sewing machine. Shortly after, she shot to fame through competing in BBC’s ‘The Great British Sewing Bee’ – where she finished second – and her professional sewing career took off. As part of this online conversation hear how her own sewing journey started with upcycling existing garments so they would fit her better and how she became known for her signature freehand cutting techniques.

Chinelo Bally is a Nigerian-born Brit who appeared on the BBC’s ‘Great British Sewing Bee’, where she wowed judges with her freehand cutting method and distinctive use of fabrics. Chinelo is the author of Freehand Fashion and is an expert on BBC2’s upcoming show ‘Saved and Remade’.
