Taught by the London Fashion Foundation tutors at Newham College, where designers such as Alexander McQueen and Osman began their careers, this eight-day course is the perfect introduction to studying fashion.
You will not only develop your design and drawing skills, but also learn crucial sewing and garment construction techniques. Learn how to develop a sketchbook of research drawings to inspire fashion design ideas. You will experiment with shapes and use surface pattern to create or customise a garment, and you will produce illustrations of your finished designs.
Taking place at the Fashion and Textile Museum and in the studios at Newham College, the course will run 10.30am–4.30pm Monday + Tuesday, and Thursday + Friday over two weeks (eight days in total).
