Friday 4 December | 1pm – 2:30pm | £5 | ONLINE EVENT

Explore the Fashion and Textile Museum’s popular exhibition, Night and Day: 1930s Fashions and Photographs with the museum’s Head of Exhibitions, Dennis Nothdruft.

The 1930s was a decade of unprecedented events and change across society, and the fashions of the times reflect these shifts in culture. This talk will look at some of the themes explored by the exhibition including the changing realities of the global economy, transport and travel, nightlife and the influence of cinema on style. The illustrated talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

Join us for a fantastic opportunity to look back at the exhibition originally displayed at the Fashion and Textile Museum in the winter of 2018/19. The exhibition toured to the American Museum & Gardens near Bath in 2020.
