Join Amy Burt from the Royal School of Needlework for this one day workshop and learn how to stitch this stunning motif influenced by the museum’s exhibition Zandra Rhodes: 50 Years of Fabulous. Inspired by Zandra’s unique textile prints and style, Amy has created a motif based on her iconic Cactus design. Students will learn how to stitch their own motif using a variety of hand embroidery stitches including French Knots, Seeding, Stem Stitch, Chain Stitch and Whipped Running Stitch. Students will be stitching on bright pink cotton fabric using a variety of stranded cottons.
Students should be able to complete most of the design during the class. All materials and instructions will be provided and will include your own embroidery kit which can be used to continue your embroidery at home.
The workshop is suitable for all levels from beginners to those looking to learn new stitches and techniques.
