Aimed at ages 16 to 18 / 2-week course
10 – 21 August (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday / 10am–5pm)
This eight day course will help you develop your design and drawing skills, and will give you a good understanding of the fashion design process. It’s a perfect introduction to studying fashion.
Against a backdrop of the FTM’s fabulous Riviera Style exhibition, you will learn about drawing, colour, how to use different media, and how to develop your creative ideas into finished designs.
The course is taught by experienced fashion tutors who will guide you to produce a sketchbook of research drawings and fashion design ideas. You will experiment with shapes and use surface pattern to customise a T shirt, and you will produce illustrations of your finished designs.
Taking place at the Fashion and Textile Museum, the course will run 10am-5pm Monday + Tuesday, and Thursday + Friday over two weeks (eight days in total). Full attendance is needed as very day will be full of exciting things to learn.
You will get lots of support and encouragement on the course, which will be fast paced, informative - and a lot of fun.
