Photoshop for Fashion and Textiles

This intermediate level course delves deeper into some of Photoshops many tools and effects to help you create much more realistic and striking designs and presentations. Download course outline

The course covers the following main topics:

  • Creating patterns and applying to photographs
  • Creating brushes from photographic and drawn images
  • Repeat patterns from non-repeatable images
  • Gaining greater understanding of photoshop and many of its unique tools

Participants are required to have a good basic knowledge of Photoshop and we recommend attending a beginners course at the Museum first. This short course is suitable for those in the textiles, fashion or design sector or simply anyone interested in improving their Photoshop skills. Please bring a pen, notebook and USB stick to save your work.

Our 15-hour short courses are a great value way to learn essential design softwares. Courses take place in the FTM’s IT suite, equipped with the latest facilities and software (Adobe CS6). Taught by our team of highly experienced tutors, tuition is in small groups with a focus on your particular learning requirements. The Fashion and Textile Museum is part of Newham College London.
