Having a website whether for business, to showcase your portfolio or blogging is now considered essential. WordPress makes creating a website easy. WordPress has become a very popular way of making websites with over 20% of all websites on the internet choosing WordPress. On this course you will learn how to master the features of WordPress to create your own website. Download Course Outline
The course covers the following main topics:
- Configuring a newly installed WordPress website
- Creating Pages and Posts
- Uploading Images and Embed Video
- Applying Themes and Installing Plugins
You will be provided with a WordPress installation that you can use over the period of the course. You are welcome to bring in your own material that can be uploaded to the website.
Requirements and Suitability
This is a beginner’s guide to WordPress. It is suitable for anyone looking to make their own website. Participants are required to have basic computer skills. Therefore, all students are expected to be confident in using a computer for tasks such as word processing, saving, managing files, browsing the internet etc. Please bring a pen, notebook and USB stick.
