The ARTIST TEXTILES Picasso to Warhol exhibition, organised by the Fashion and Textile Museum, London, has begun an international tour this week.
The record-breaking show opened at the Textile Museum Tilburg in the Netherlands on 14 June where it will be on display until 14 September, before touring to other venues.
‘We are delighted to be working with the Textiel Museum Tilburg,’ said Celia Joicey, Head of the Fashion and Textile Museum, London. ‘It is a privilege to show these wonderful works by artists including Matisse, Dufy, Delaunay, Picasso, Miro, Leger, Warhol and Calder in such a prestigious textile city and venue. The the Tilburg TextielLab and learning programme at the Museum also provides a rich set of opportunities for us to work together in future on textile education and research.’
The exhibition has had a fantastic response in the Netherlands, including press articles and a feature on television channel Omroep Brabant. Click here for more
