Following record visitors to Kaffe Fassett at the Fashion and Textile Museum, the textile artist will receive new rose named in his honour at this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
The launch will take place on Monday 8 July 2013 in the Rose Marquee at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
Kaffe Fassett’s wide-ranging creativity has enabled him to produce designs for quilts, fabric, stage sets for the Royal Shakespeare company, rugs, knitwear, mosaics and garden designs for RHS flower shows.
The rose ‘Kaffe Fassett’ (Tan07291), classed as Floribunda, has clusters of up to six large flowers of unique mauve colour. Flowers are full and very fragrant, dispelling a fruity, citrus and mango fragrance. Bred by Rosen Tantau, the UK is the first country in which the ‘Kaffe Fassett’ rose it is being sold.
Kaffe Fassett will also give a presentation in the Rose Marquee at the RHS show on Thursday, 11 July at 11.30am.
