Peacocks and Pinstripes Relaunches the FTM

13 February 2008

Developed in conjunction with Getty Images Gallery, this exciting photographic exhibition is a portrayal of male style from the 1930’s to the present, and is the first open to visitors in the newly developed FTM.

An impressive series of iconic images depicts the stars, styles and trends of the past 70 years of male fashion and photography. Visitors are taken on a journey through the years from the suave elegance of Roger Moore and David Niven to the 1960s impudence of the Rolling Stones and the casual informality of Richard Gere and David Beckham.

In the contemporary element of the exhibition, the photographs represent a new era of cutting edge work by emerging new talent.

On display are some previously unseen images as well as images by internationally renowned photographers such as Terry O’Neill, one of the world’s most published photographers during the 60s and 70s.

Open from the 8th February 2008,
Wednesday  - Sunday - 11am - 5pm (last entry 4:15pm)
