LBD launches in style

20 June 2008

The 19th of June celebrated the launch of the Little Black Dress exhibition at the Fashion & Textile Museum. Supermodel Erin O’Connor was there to open the event on the night along with Zandra Rhodes and Richard O’Brien. Guests were dressed in theme; all laced in their very own LBD numbers from Zara to Armani. Richard O’Brien was no exception to the rule, appearing in a mini black dress, black stilettos and lace stockings, he wooed all with his acoustic performance of a song he had written called The Little Black Dress.

Hundreds of guests who attended the sneak preview were beaming with excitement at the black dresses waiting patiently and the elegant velvet white drapes hanging from ceiling to floor. The soft background music added to the ambience, reminiscent of a scene from the 1920s. Guests happily took home a bag filled with goodies from M.A.C eyeliner to a girly novel published by the Little Black Dress publishers.

The LBD exhibition is now open to the public and is £5 for adult, £3 for concession and free for under 12s.
