FTM’s brand new purpose-built training suite opens – special rate £100 professional courses for designers start in January

Professional Courses FOR DESIGNERS - £100

Interested in producing high quality illustrations, designs and graphic presentations? Academy@FTM professional courses for designers are for you. 

Centrally located just minutes from London Bridge stations, the FTM is an exciting and convenient location to develop your CAD skills. All courses take place in a new purpose-built CAD training suite fully equipped with the latest facilities and software, and tuition is in small groups with a focus on your particular learning requirements. Courses are scheduled during evenings and at weekends to meet the needs of fashion, textiles and jewellery professionals. 

Courses are for 15 hours tuition
Evening courses run for six weeks 6.30-9pm
Weekend courses run for three weeks 10am-12.30pm 1-3.30pm
Introduction level courses are for those who wish to learn how to use the software from the beginning, and will give you skills and confidence to produce basic design and illustration work and presentational material

Intermediate level courses are for those with a basic working knowledge of the software, and will allow you to produce more complex illustrations and textile designs
Advanced level courses will allow you to produce a professional standard of design, illustration, and presentational material to enhance your portfolio of work  

All courses are currently at a discounted rate of £100 to celebrate the launch of the FTM’s new specialist CAD training suite

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator courses

Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software are the most commonly used software in the fashion industries, and provide the CAD tools needed to sketch flats and detailed illustrations, to create and modify textile designs and repeats, and to produce high quality graphics. Good technical expertise in these widely-available packages will enhance and broaden your design and presentational skills – visit www.adobe.com for further information.

LECTRA KALEDO STYLE COURSES

Kaledo Style specialist software is widely used in the fashion sector to create technical drawings and high quality presentational material for communicating with clients and manufacturers - visit www.lectra.com for further information. The FTM’s Kaledo Style courses will give you the technical expertise to use Vector drawing tools in different functions, to produce trend panels and storyboards, access the Pantone colour book and apply fabnc textures, and to create garment details and make style modifications. You will be encouraged to develop your individual fashion signature, and will be equipped to produce your own portfolio of professional quality Kaledo Style work.
