29 May 2009

The Clothes Show London will ooze glamour and cool and will be the place to see and be seen for anyone interested in fashion – the perfect venue for the Fashion and Textile Museum, whose stand will be one of the highlights at the show.

For the first time, FTM will create a ‘pop up’ shop at the show where you can buy fantastic designer pieces from the young fashion and design talent stocked by the Shop@FTM. FTM will be showcasing the work of Amethyst Bags, Ben’s Sister, Candice Wren, Credau, Gemma Lister, Pamela Designs, Pazuki Ltd, Sarah Eyton Designs, Blue Eyed Girl, Lucy Kemp, Anna Alicia Johnson and I Love Lowie. Every visitor to Clothes Show London should take the opportunity to check out all this hot young talent.
Offering a unique taste of the FTM experience, the stand will also showcase a special preview of the forthcoming Undercover exhibition and offer the chance to be one of the first to buy tickets for this highly-anticipated exhibition. You can learn more about the FTM’s programme of exciting fashion and design events, including talks and workshops, there will be a host of unique offers, a prize draw and opportunities to purchase exclusive fashion items.

The Clothes Show London will be a mecca for every aspiring fashionista – so the FTM stand will be a significant high point for all the visitors.

Notes to editors:

The FTM stand will also provide an opportunity to catch an exclusive preview of the upcoming exhibition Undercover: The Evolution of Underwear, which opens on 12th June 2009. This exciting new exhibition traces the evolution of underwear, from health garment, shape definer to fashion ‘must have’. It explores a number of themes such as boudoir to everyday glamour – ‘Stars and their bras’ looking at celebrity branding; how research and innovation has changed the way we wear our underwear; and how the changing face of underwear advertising and marketing meshes with social and cultural changes.
