Back due to popular demand! Led by Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably, this 1-day workshop is an incredible opportunity to learn about the principles of colour in patchwork design from two of the worlds leading practitioners. You will produce two different wall-size hanging quilt arrangements. You will be taken through the exact same design process used by Kaffe Fassett Studio.
This is a class suitable for beginners who already know how to sew a seam and how to use a rotary cutter. It is also for more advanced quiltmakers who wish to concentrate on complex color development.
You will need to bring the following tools to the workshop:
- rotary cutter
- cutting mat (at least 12” x 18”)
- rotary ruler (at least 6” x 12”)
- flannel for a design wall (at least 40″ x 72″)– we prefer that you use taupe, grey, or cocoa colored flannel
- fabric scissors
- optional: reducing glass or peephole
No preparation is needed before the workshop. On the day you will be able to buy a whole range of fabrics for your quilt from a pop-up shop. Kaffe will be able to assist you on picking out different colours to use for your quilt.
Price: £200 including lunch and entry to the Kaffe Fassett exhibition
