Join British textile designer Donna Wilson for an exclusive private view of KNITWEAR Chanel to Westwood and a discussion on British knitwear, textile design and contemporary craft.Donna will talk about her training, establishing her business and name, her sources of inspiration and what the future holds for her brand.
Donna Wilson gained her MA in Mixed Media at the Royal College of Art in London, and she now runs a studio and workshop in London. She started her company in 2003 after a sold-out final show of strange knitted creatures at the Royal College of Art. Her line now includes cushions, lambswool blankets, and other quirky yet luxurious creations for the home that draw inspiration from her childhood in Scotland. Her work is delivered to 25 countries around the world and has been featured in exhibitions at Somerset House, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park and The British Embassy. In 2010 Donna won the prestigious award of ‘Designer of the Year’ at Elle Decoration’s British Design Awards.
