Preserving & Storing Textiles and Fashion
Discover the work of the Clothworkers Centre in the preservation and storage of some of the UK’s most precious textiles. The Clothworkers Centre opened in 2013 and houses over 100,000 objects from the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Textile and Fashion and Asia Collections, which contain a diverse range of objects, from evening gowns and furnishing fabrics to accessories and tapestries. This is an opportunity to hear about the work of the Centre, how it was commissioned and to learn what lies inside the custom-built storage units.

Suzanne Smith: Manager of the Clothworkers Centre for the Study & Conservation of Textiles & Fashion at Blythe House, Olympia.

Price £15 / £12 students includes a complimentary drink and exhibition entry.
